Julie received a BFA in dance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and the Chancellor's Talent Award (full tuition).  While attending the University, Julie was a choreographer, student teacher, and toured for four years as a University Dancer.  During that time, she danced with the Impulse Dance Company of Boston under the direction of Adrienne Hawkins.  She also studied with well known choreographers such as Susie Taylor and Bill T. Jones.

Julie began her dance career at the age of two, studying every aspect of dance in the area primarily with New England Dance Conservatory, and in New York City at Steps and at the Broadway Dance Center.  After receiving her BFA, she was offered jobs including dancing in a New York City Jazz Company, The Underground Dance Project, and Disney Tokyo as a dancer.

For more than 21 years, Julie has owned and operated a highly acclaimed dance studio.  She became the dance instructor for Stonybrook Camp, the Dance Team Coach for Minnechaug High School, and the dance instructor for the East Longmeadow cheerleading squad for grades three thru eight.  She was the choreographer for the Exit 7 Players production of Peter Pan.  She co-owned The Dance Studio in Wilbraham for many years and taught in the Springfield College dance program as a Jazz Instructor/Assoc.
